The Next Generation Tour

Vincent Ingala and Jonathan Fritzen with Elan Trotman are coming to Southern Connecticut State University to perform, on The Next Generation Tour!  This tour features the next generation of jazz musicians, who have gained notoriety through a supportive fan base, and unmistakable talent.

The show begins with a performance from Elan Trotman and his band, which has a Grover Washington Jr.-infused sax style.  Known as one of contemporary jazz’s “most thrilling and emotive” performers, Trotman is a 3-time winner of the New England Urban Music Award for Best Jazz Male.  Elan Trotman began his musical journey at a young age in Barbados; the musician was granted a full scholarship to Boston’s Berklee College of Music by the Barbadian government, after gaining much recognition for his passionate style.

Swedish-American, Jonathan Fritzen is a contemporary jazz pianist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer.  Fritzen was one of the first students to receive a Masters degree in Jazz at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.  “Magical” is Jonathan Fritzen’s fourth solo-project featuring a variety of jazz’s major league players, including Boney James, Paul Brown, Jackiem Joyner, Darren Rahn, Malene Mortensen and  Next Generation Tour-mate, Vincent Ingala.

Vincent Ingala seems to be picking up more momentum with each new performance.  Named Sirius XM’s Watercolors Breakthrough Artist of 2013, Ingala’s talent refuses to be overlooked.  Experience his natural stage presence and original compositions during his performance on The Next Generation Tour, on May 3rd, at 8 p.m. at Southern Connecticut State University!
