Jazz Holiday Classics

From A Charlie Brown Christmas to Nat King Cole’s iconic “The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas To You)”, my childhood is filled with jazz holiday classics.  Twinkling lights and garland just lacks holiday spirit if Ella Fitzgerald is not in the background singing “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”.  To spare you the trouble of rifling through old CDs, I have compiled a holiday soundtrack guide for your listening pleasure.

“Winter Wonderland”, Wynton Marsalis, Crescent City Christmas Card

“Carol of the Bells”, Dianne Reeves, Christmas Time Is Here

“Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”, Nancy Wilson: A Nancy Wilson Christmas

“Snowfall” Ahmad Jamal Trio, Cross Country Tour 1958-1961

“Jinglebells”, Diana Krall Featuring the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra: Christmas Songs

“Jingle Bells” Duke Ellington & His Orchestra, Jingle Bell Swing

“Overture From The Nutcracker Suite”, Diane Delin: Songs for a Peaceable Season

The entire Charlie Brown Christmas album, which you can purchase off of Amazon here.
