An annual event in Madison, the Strawberry Jazz Festival, hosted by the First Congregational Church, promises to be a fun-filled day for the entire family!
On June 2, 2012 from 9-4, take your time strolling around Madison’s beautiful historic town green while you enjoy delicious strawberry shortcakes and other foods, artist displays, crafts, authors, interesting vendors, children’s activities, and much, much more. You’ll even have the chance to soak Madison dignitaries in a dunk tank! This year, you’ll enjoy music during the festival from the Nathan Bayreuther Jazz Combo, a group specializing in classic jazz sounds with an entertaining, crowd-pleasing style.
After the Strawberry Festival, stick around for a great concert featuring the legendary Livingston Taylor at 7:30 at the First Congregational Church. Livingston grew up in a musical family and started playing guitar at the age of 13. He’s toured with artists such as Jimmy Buffet and Linda Ronstadt. In addition to touring, Livingston has been a full professor at Berklee College of Music since since 1989. This promises to be a memorable show, so be sure to get your tickets in advance!
